Garlic Paneer: A Flavorful Treat for Cheese Lovers

Garlic Paneer is a delicious and aromatic dish that combines the smooth, creamy texture of paneer with the bold and savory flavors of garlic. Ingredients

- Paneer (cottage cheese) - 250 grams, cut into cubes

- Garlic - 10-12 cloves, finely chopped

- Onions - 1 large, finely chopped

- Green Bell Peppers - 1 medium, diced

- Green Chilies - 2, chopped

- Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons

- Tomato Ketchup - 1 tablespoon

- Red Chili Sauce - 1 tablespoon

- Cornflour - 2 tablespoons

- Water - 1/4 cup

- Oil - 3 tablespoons

- Salt - to taste

- Spring Onions - for garnish

Instructions

1. Marinate the Paneer:

- In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornflour with a pinch of salt and water to make a thin batter.

- Dip the paneer cubes in the batter to coat them evenly.

2. SautΓ© the Paneer:

- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.

- Lightly fry the battered paneer cubes until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.

3. Prepare the Garlic Gravy:

- In the same pan, add the remaining oil.

- Add finely chopped garlic and sautΓ© until golden brown.

- Add the chopped onions, green chilies, and bell peppers. SautΓ© until they are tender.

4. Combine and Cook:

- Add the soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and red chili sauce. Stir well.

- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornflour with 1/4 cup of water to make a slurry.

- Add the slurry to the pan and cook until the sauce thickens.

- Add the fried paneer cubes to the pan and gently toss to coat them with the garlic sauce.

- Add salt to taste and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

5. Garnish and Serve:

- Garnish with finely chopped spring onions.
